Part-time · 4–6 hour shifts · Weekdays and weekends at a restored estate nestled in the Litchfield Hills. A place where guests come to exhale. We believe that a beautifully prepared room is the first gesture of hospitality, and the quiet foundation on which every meaningful stay is built. We are looking for someone who understands that caring for a space is not a job function but a way of moving through the world.
What you'll do
Prepare guest rooms and common spaces to a standard of genuine loveliness; not just cleanliness, but welcome
Launder and refresh linens with attention to detail and care for the materials
Replenish amenities and take note of what guests may need before they know to ask
Communicate promptly with the team about any maintenance needs, missing items, or guest concerns
Contribute to the seasonal care of the estate, a historic property that asks to be treated accordingly
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 15+ pounds and negotiate staircases
Who you are
You take pride in your work even when no one is watching (...especially then...)
You notice things: a crooked picture frame, a missing soap, a scuff on the baseboard, and you address them without being asked
You are reliable, unhurried, trustworthy, and bring a calm, steady presence to your work
You are comfortable working independently and as part of a small, close, drama-free team
Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience is required, but the right disposition matters more.
We are a small inn with high standards and a deep respect for our guests and one another. If you find meaning in doing something well, and in leaving a space genuinely better than you found it, we'd love to hear from you.
To apply, send a brief note about yourself and your availability. Starting compensation $25/hr+
