Much thicker than conventional barrels.
Ideal container for maple sap to get ready for sugaring season.
Slightly out of round, will return to round once filled and standing vertically.
Steam cleaned…zero aroma.
We use these to store and collect maple sap. We collected 5 gallon buckets and we pour into these 55 gallon drums daily and then boil on weekends.

I also have clean 6 gallon food grade pails with wire bail handle(for hanging or transport) and lids 10 for $30 They have a cup and fork imprinted in the bottom of the drum to prove food grade provenance. They also have labels indicated they held bagged human Pharma like Benadryl or Tylenol. Perfectly clean inside as the only thing that ever touched the interior was a plastic bag. European quality….made in Italy.
More stable than conventional 5 g pails on the ground against tipping at the base because they are wider at bottom and not as tall…ideal if you leave on ground running tube from spile to bucket
